The question mark in the previous statement is not because I doubt it, but because I am still waiting for it to happen. Several MMMEC graduates go for higher studies and some to the very elite institutions. So I have no doubt it will happen, but I am just waiting to hear it.
Anshuman Tripathi of 1998 batch will be joining Stanford University in Sloan Fellows Programme (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sloan_Fellows) this year. This program is famous for churning out CEOs year after year. I congratulate Anshuman for this achievement and hope his guidance helps bring out more leaders from MMMEC. I would like to mention here that Anshuman has been very closely associated with MMMEC. He made it a point to visit college every time he came to India, to meet the students and guide them. I am sure a lot of juniors remember his visits fondly. Anshuman also founded a non-profit organization which operates in USA and Mexico. And at ST has lead multi-million dollar new ventures.
We wish you best of luck at this prestigious program. We look forward to more communication from you.

I was just thinking about the dozens of available Alumni databases. One in college, one in Delhi one in Bangalore, one in US... and so on. I am registered to many of them, but still I am not able to keep all of them up-to-date. I am sure this must be the case for most alumni working in private sector. People tend to change jobs, houses, cities and email services. They have to get information updated in banks, mobile company, cooking gas agency etc. MMMEC.in is one of the last things people update, if they do update at all. In such scenarios, updating multiple databases is a pain.
I see this as a challenging problem waiting to be solved. I am providing suggestion/opinion on a solution which I feel good. If you have better ideas, you are welcome to reply in comments. Whatever be the case, the current scenario of having multiple databases at different locations is not the best way to go. A unified database can act as the authoritative information and be used by all alumni chapters and the various Malaviyan sites. Can we bring some order to this chaos of multiple websites with overlapping features with replicated and non-current information?
People including me have already told you guys earlier about this, but here it is again. Request other alumni to add more suggestions in reply to this post. This is not exhaustive at all. I listed them after looking at some CVs sent to me. You should check your CV with this list at least. These are just my opinions. Other people may differ. So, always get your CV reviewed by at least 2 seniors in the same/similar industry. Do not hurry in making it, these 2 sheets of paper will shape your future. Sometimes resume may need to be adapted for particular job opening. If you are maintaining several resume, do not mix them.
Dear Malaviyans,
It gives us immense pleasure to state that the Alumni Convention ’09 is scheduled to be held on October 31 and November 1, 2009. As always we look forward to your homecoming. We have witnessed this in the past and we expect the same this year. A blend of past and present creates an ambience of eternal fraternity and cohesiveness that gives a lot of value to your Alma Mater. We exchange so many good ideas that enable the college grow manifolds in all the spheres of technical and managerial education. Your valuable suggestions and concerns for the college give an immortal impetus to MMMEC for which we thank you from the core of our hearts. Please try to spare some time to grace the occasion filled with lots of fun and reminiscences. We have, for a change, scheduled the college technical festival ‘techSrijan’ on October 31 and November 1-2, 2009 to give you a glimpse of the technical acumen of budding Malaviyans which would be a real nostalgic
moment for all.
