Dear Malaviyan,

Season’s Greetings!

It has always been a wish of every malaviyan to do something for our college and the students. Some of us are already doing their parts for the students at college. Many are ready to do something. A lot can be done and that is why it would be fruitful if we do it together to generate synergy.

I am pleased to inform you that Mr. Vinod Kumar Tomar (2005, CSE) has taken initiative to organise all these activities at a common platform. He is in touch with college administration, students and alumni in India and abroad. He has got support from all these fronts. They have identified following 3 activities:

1. Project Development (R&D on new Technologies)
Our students should work on the demanding projects so that they can put their efforts and innovative ideas in the right direction. They have already done very good work in Robotics area. We can search these type of projects in our company or we can guide students how to work in this area. Some malaviyans have already offered to open their R & D centre at college.

2. Personality Development
It is the need of the time that our students are employable. Besides technological knowledge, individual’s personality plays a vital role in achieving success in industry. Students at college are already doing activities like GD (Group Discussion), presentation etc. At our end we can visit our college and can mentor them on personality development. We can run soft skills development program in our college. Some alumni would be visiting college in January month for exploring further possibilities in this direction.

3. Training and Placement
We have to admit that our college is lagging in the placement activities. College needs our support to increase the placement and to invite more companies for campus recruitment. Some malaviyans have already done great job, they voluntarily contacted college to get invitation for their companies to visit college for campus recruitment. We would request all malaviyans to support college for placement activities. We need to contact HR of our companies and request them to visit the college.
We can also look for internship options if these are available in our organization and recommend our students for the same.
